About Jessica's Early Learning Centre
Jessica’s Early Learning Centre in Ryde opened its doors in 2023 after fulfilling a family dream. Jessica’s Early Learning centre is a place where children aged from two to six years old can feel safe, supported, and engaged in their learning and development. We recognise that the early years of a child's life are crucial for their overall development and future success. As such, we are committed to providing high-quality care and education that supports each child's unique needs, interests, and abilities. Our experienced and dedicated team works tirelessly to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can thrive and reach their full potential.
AVAILABILITY
With only 24 places available, our centre offers a warm, family-oriented environment where children and families can build strong connections with our experienced and qualified educators. We believe in building meaningful relationships with families and working closely with them to ensure that each child's unique needs, interests, and abilities are valued and supported.

7.30am to 5.30pm

Private Tour
Taking a private tour of Jessica's Early Learning Centre is an important step for parents who want to ensure the safety and wellbeing of their child. During a private tour, parents have the opportunity to see the facilities firsthand, meet the staff, and ask any questions they may have about the center's policies, curriculum, and safety procedures.

We support a diverse educational program that is in line with Belonging, Being and Becoming and aids children in becoming confident, active members for the community in which they are able to discover more about themselves and improve their ability to identify and express their emotions.
We believe in guiding every child to progress from needing assistance with a task to being able to complete it independently by providing the children with challenging, yet attainable experiences that are engaging and stimulating.
We prioritise the establishment of a personalised approach to learning by facilitating one-on-one interactions between educators and children.

Introducing our Jessica’s ELC Street Library! We created a beautiful library featuring some of the children’s favourite books and authors 📚 Street Libraries serve as charming homes for books, placed in your front yard to encourage neighbors to enjoy reading and build lasting community bonds. Everyone is welcome to contribute or borrow books – the more, the merrier! The children took a trip to our local park to participate in Clean Up Australia Day 2024 🪴 With their gloves on and rubbish bags ready, the children looked high and low for any rubbish that was polluting Ryde Park. We managed to fill one entire garbage bag full of plastics, bottles and wrappers. The children were so proud of helping our environment to be “happy” 🌏♻️Button -

At Jessica’s ELC children enjoy a nutritious morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea, all prepared daily at our Early Learning Centre. Meals are fresh, colourful and tasty enough to tempt even the fussiest of eaters, all while meeting Australian Dietary Guidelines and recommended requirements. You can rest easy knowing your child’s nutrition needs are met at Jessica’s ELC while being exposed to a variety of delicious tastes and interesting textures, which helps significantly in nurturing healthy eating habits.Button -

Reflecting on the 26th January, we wanted to focus on both the characteristics that make Australia unique and the First Nations perspective. We explored landmarks, flora and fauna, iconic Australian books, as well using Harry the Travelling Echidna as a tool to explore Indigenous culture.Button -

This afternoon, Jamaica from S. Antonio Da Padova Nursing Village, arrived at our service with our first package from the participants in our Intergenerational Pen Pals Program. Our participating friends all received a letter from a participant at the Nursing Village, along with an image of our “older friends”. We also excitedly received some beautiful artworks, handmade origami paper cranes and key rings.Button -

Harry is our Travelling, “Barrugin” or Echidna. Harry will assist in exploring and embedding Indigenous Practices and teachings throughout our service at Jessica’s Early Learning Centre by transitioning from our indoor to outdoor environments and eventually scurrying to our friend’s homes for a week at a time, to aid in exploring Indigenous culture in a home environment as well. Harry’s journey will be documented through images and descriptions in the journal that accompanies him. Harry is also eco-friendly, ocean-conscious and made using 7 recycled plastic bottles, so he is sustainable which is always a bonus.Button -

This week at Jessica’s Early Learning Centre, we explored the Life Cycle of a Chicken 🥚🐣 Miss Jessica and Jacob travelled to Barter & Sons Farm and Hatchery where they picked up 23 chicken eggs and an incubator. Over the course of the week, the children were able to observe the hatching process from a fertilised egg to a hatchling. This program allows a hands-on opportunity for the children to experience a real wonder of nature and opens up numerous possibilities for conversations.Button -

Today, the children embarked on a journey to the Return & Earn Depot in Top Ryde with the mission to donate recycled bottles, cans and juice boxes that were donated to “Max our Recycling Friend” by our lovely families! The children walked so beautifully on the way to the depot, observing all of the beautiful nature around us. As soon as we arrived at the depot, the children ran in and began depositing our recycled goods into the machine. I am so proud to say we had a total of 49 recycled goods! Menu & Nutrition
Jessica's Early Learning Centre is dedicated to fostering healthy eating habits in children. To achieve this goal, we prepare five meals on-site each day, following a rotational menu system. Our meals showcase seasonal ingredients, offering a diverse and nutritious range of options. We aim to educate children about making smart food choices by introducing the concept of 'always foods' and 'sometimes foods.'
This approach not only provides a well-rounded and balanced diet but also helps children develop a positive relationship with food. We believe that early exposure to nutritious meals and the understanding of different food categories will contribute to their overall well-being and long-term health.
